Sachiye Nakano has been a manual therapist for over 15 years. As a dancer, choreographer and teacher of dance, she injured herself and began serious study of alternative forms of therapy. She is a Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner®, Certified Zone Perfect Nutrition Instructor, Certified Bones for Life Teacher™, Advanced Certified Body Talk Practitioner, Parama Body Talk Practitioner, Body Talk Access Trainer, massage therapist and Professor Emeritus of Dance, Health and Physical Education with 36 years of experience teaching all levels from pre-school to post graduate. Along with the growing list of certifications, she is a teaching assistant with the Upledger Institute in Craniosacral Therapy and Mechanical Link and has trained in Visceral Manipulation, Lymph Drainage Therapy, Integrative Manual Therapy and Biovalent Systems

She continues to learn, test and develop treatments based on manual therapies, energy therapies, functional medicine and homeopathy. She has studied with MDs from the Institute for Functional Medicine, compound homeopathics with the Canadian Center of Homeopathy Teaching, herbology from Systemic Formulas and Body Talk from the International Body Talk Association.

A recipient of the Eugene Pimentel Award for Excellence in Teaching, Sachiye is an excellent communicator and teacher of classes, workshops and private sessions. Intuition and creativity are her forte; she received a National Endowment for the Arts Choreography Fellowship in 1975. She uses these skills to create her own work using all the therapies she studied to help clients achieve health and easy movement free of pain.

After working several years with physical therapists, Sachiye opened her own office, Move to Health. There she is able to integrate all of the modalities to help clients achieve their goals for optimal health and function.
